Thanks. What a lot of people don’t realize is an increase of just a few degrees in temperature can have many negative consequences, the above article being one example.

I was reading this article in the WaPo today which could be considered a corollary to Global Warming. All about how people in coastal cities (including NYC) have insurance issues because of global warming. Thought you might find it interesting…

We’re trying to do some of the things in on that list, like switching to compact flourescents in the house. I’d like to think by leaving NoVA we’re helping to save the environment by not driving 70 miles per day 5 days a week.
When the furnace was on its last legs we opted to spend the extra money to get the 96% efficient variable speed furnace which over its lifetime should save us a lot of money.
Next, the windows….
