Kitchen remodel: after
Last week I took some time off to paint my kitchen. Which means… the kitchen remodel is complete! Remember how it looked before?
I thought the orange paint would go well with the cabinets and floor, plus there are some orange specs in the counter top.
I discovered though that I should have primed it with an orange tinted primer first. Because I didn’t, it took four coats before it looked decent.
The bench under the window is something I picked up from an Amish furniture store. It’s perfect for that spot.
I’m real happy with how the whole project turned out.
As you can see I have more painting to do. The dining / living room is next on the list.

Thanks! Sorry, but it’ll be a while for the party. Much to be done yet — painting, and redoing a bedroom closet.

What is the ‘name’ of that paint … i love it.
my living room is beige (or desert camel per Behr Paint) and I wanna re-do my kitchen walls. I have blackish counter tops and black appliances. And my cabinets are light (i think they are maple)! So, i liked the contrast you used! any help would be appreciated!
thanks!

Thanks for the compliment. The name of that paint is “sesame crunch” from Pittsburgh Paints.
I’m real happy with the whole room, but I think that orange paint put it over the top. It’s been over a year since the kitchen renovation and it’s still my favorite room in the house.
Good luck with your kitchen.
