I’ve come to realize that the ash tree in front of my house is always very eager for the fall season, and it expresses its enthusiasm by being the first tree on the block to turn colors in the autumn.

Today was the first full day of autumn. While all the other trees in the neighborhood are barely starting to turn yellow, my tree is completely yellow, and has even lost some of its leaves.

Maybe this ash just doesn’t like the warm and muggy summers? Perhaps it even enjoys winter? Which ever the case, I’d better get ready to rake soon. See the leaves on my lawn and in the gutter?
