Christmas in the Capitol
Friday, December 23rd, 2011I can’t resist taking pictures of the tree in the Capitol at Christmastime.
Treetop walkway
Friday, November 25th, 2011When I was driving to Minneapolis a couple of weeks ago, I stopped at the rest area along I-94 near Black River Falls, to stretch my legs a bit and check out the trail there that leads to a scenic overlook.
Three bridges
Saturday, May 7th, 2011Just another Saturday in Madison
Sunday, March 20th, 2011Another Saturday, another protest rally. This time we marched along with Veterans for Peace in opposition of Governor Walker’s budget proposals.
Snow dunes
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011The wind from last night’s blizzard made some great patterns in the snow.
They looked like sand dunes.
Beauty in the gray
Friday, November 19th, 2010I like to call this time of the year the season of darkness. The hours of daylight are getting shorter and shorter. Everything is gray and brown, and there isn’t any snow on the ground to brighten things up. It’s all a bit depressing. But maybe I need to look at it in a different way. Take away the color, even from a gorgeous sunset, and there is beauty to be seen in the gray.
I should play around with black and white photography more.
