Inside Barbra’s studio

Last weekend, Dad and I drove to Minneapolis to see my sister, Barbra Bloy.

Barbara Bloy in her studio

We wanted to visit while Art-a-Whirl (the largest open studio and gallery tour in the U.S.) was going on. It was great to see what that was about, and check out her studio.

Most of what she works on these days are the beautiful jewelry she creates.

She also does some painting.

Her studio space (which is in an old factory) is perfect for creating and showcasing her art.

My favorite of Barbra’s creations are the mandalas she paints, like the one above.

  1. Hi Jon,
Great pictures from my studio! It was great having you there at art a whirl! I don’t know what I would have done with out you and Dad taking me out for breakfast and bringing me chicken soup! All in all it was a good year and I made some good sales. Sunday I left about an hour early. Now I am trying to take it easy and recover from this bad cold. I have lots of work to do on my yard next week. It is going to be hot like July next week. Summer is here!
