Here’s what my block looked like after the blizzard hit Madison (yesterday and today).

I couldn’t resist getting out the yardstick.
As you can see… 17.5 inches!
Took me about three hours to shovel it all.
The snow covered trees really looked beautiful.
Unfortunately, the snow was heavy and we lost a few limbs in the neighborhood. The branch on a tree behind my garage (below) couldn’t bear the weight and cracked in the middle.
Look at all that snow!







WOW! is right. A huge pile of snow around your house and in your street. Lots on your roof. But all that nature’s dumping shows the beautiful side as well. Photo of the trees branches with rows of white covering up the barren darkness, remind us that amidst the short times of daylight – brightness can still be seen. Hope your muscles aren’t too sore from all the shoveling. Good photos to document the Dec. storm of 2009
