I spent some time inside Olbrich Gardens today for their annual Blooming Butterflies exhibit.
The wonderful spots on this common buckeye butterfly made it my favorite of the day.
There were more zebra butterflies (like the one above) than any other species, but they rarely stopped fluttering about. I was lucky to get this shot. Other butterflies seemed to be a little more willing to pose for portraits.
