Trail of yellow

One more shot from last weekend’s hike at Picnic Point.

Today was a perfect day to hike Picnic Point.

Bales of corn silage, ready for winter storage.

Soon, all that’ll be left from the autumn celebration will be the used confetti on the ground.

Autumn has definitely arrived in Madison.

Seen at the UW Lakeshore Nature Preserve. I wonder when this was last used?

Every year I’m amazed that such thin stalks (with heavy corncobs) can get so tall. These were at least ten feet high.
