This year, Timothy Browning’s annual Lake Monona art installation included the bones of a hodag-asaurus. Though when I went to see it, the hodag’s upper skull was missing.

A poor owl substitute
Yesterday I ventured out looking for snowy owls, which have been seen widely in Wisconsin this winter. Unfortunately, the closest I came was capturing this American tree sparrow — a nice bird, but a poor substitute for a snowy owl.
Sculpted by the wind
I went hiking around Tenney Park yesterday. The wind along the lake was brutal, but it did create some cool snow drifts.
