Fringed tulips
I came across these interesting beauties on a neighborhood walk. I had never seen tulips with frayed edges on the petals before. They’re officially called fringed tulips.

The trees are coming into leaf,
Like something almost being said.
The recent buds relax and spread,
Their greenness is a kind of grief.

The Great Sauk Trail
Last weekend I biked the Great Sauk Trail for the first time. This paved, scenic trail goes along the Wisconsin River, through fields, and then into the Baraboo Hills. What a nice ride.
