Winter welcomed us a little early this year. First major storm of the season — single digit temperatures predicted tonight (fahrenheit) after ten inches of wet snow.

The headwinds were a bit strong at times, but still, sunny skies and temps in the mid 60’s made it a beautiful day to bike the Monona lake loop.

I missed the strong geomagnetic storm that occurred on the night of November 11, but the storm was predicted to continue last night. Determined to give it a try, I ventured out into the country, away from city lights. Luckily I was able to catch some mild aurora borealis.
