I spent a frustrating 20 minutes following this common whitetail skimmer dragonfly as they buzzed around, trying to get a decent photo or two. Yet another time when nature is trying to teach me to have more patience. Maybe someday, that lesson will finally sink in.

Your patience certainly paid off. Great photo of dragonfly – especially detail of the wings – also you captured the concentric circles of the water below the dragonfly amid the green shoots. Excellent close up photo. Old man observation – patience is a life-long learning process.
