It’s kind of sad to see this beautiful old barn on Milwaukee Street deteriorating. Still no word on how or when this property will be re-developed, but it would be fantastic if they could incorporate the barn (and silo!) into whatever they end up doing on this unusually rural property in the middle of the city.
Thanks for barn photo. I agree with your comment. Barns like this in Madison and across the state – need to be preserved. They are part of the history of our state, and of farming – and continue to live in memories of old farm boys like myself.
These kind of structures (especially the silo) are becoming more rare, sure hope these two don’t end up being torn down. Thanks for the comment.
