Tale of the towel bars

The work on getting my new home in shape continues (hence the lack of posts here). It almost amazes me all of the things that need taking care of in order to get settled into a new place. Even more amazing is how people can continually live with things that could so easily be fixed.

For example, I spent most of this afternoon installing towel bars in both of my bathrooms. Why did I do that you’re wondering? Why would anyone install a bath towel bar so low that there isn’t enough room for a wet towel to hang below the bar? Why would a person attach a ceramic towel bar to the wall with two nails and adhesive that doesn’t adhere? Why would anyone live with the fore mentioned towel bars for ten years without fixing them?

I’m almost tempted to call the former owner and ask.
