House drifts

The front of a house with small snowdrifts hanging off the roof, and a large snowdrift in front of the door.

Some interesting snow drifts in front of my house from the blizzard.

A wood yardstick standing in the snow, measuring just under nine and three quarter inches. A house is in the background, out of focus.

Official total at Chateau DeBloy: 8.6 inches of wet and heavy snow.

Sadly, I had to clear off the stoop, even though it did give the house some cool winter curb appear.

  1. Wow, you got more snow than I thought you were going to get. Hopefully you were able to stay in and stay warm.

  2. Thankfully, they ended up closing my University for the day, so I didn’t have to drive in. Though it took me two and a half hours to clear my driveway and sidewalk! I’m glad we didn’t get as much as northern Wisconsin (and Minnesota) got.
