Christmas spirit

I spent a great deal of yesterday evening writing up Christmas cards to send out. As I got to a lot of the names on the list I start to wonder… Why do I have contact with some of these people only once a year? Some I intended to visit, or correspond with a lot more than I have. Where does the time go? It seems like it was just a few months ago when I was writing out my Christmas cards last year.

Holiday Tree at the State Capitol

Having finished my cards, this morning I got them in the mail, and headed out to do some Christmas shopping. While I was downtown doing that, I decided to check out the state Christmas Tree (I mean Holiday Tree) in the Capitol.

Doing all those Christmas things must’ve put the spirit of Christmas in me, because this afternoon I put on some Christmas music, got out my little Christmas Tree and put up a few decorations. Now if we could just get some snow on the ground it might actually look like Christmas around here.

  1. Good photo of the capitol tree – and as far as I’m concerned it is a CHRISTMAS tree. All this “holiday” stuff is a bunch of foolishness.

  2. Hi, Neat picture of the capitol CHRISTMAS TREE! I am not
too old to learn “happy holiday” but I like “Merry Christmas
    better.
