While camping in Door County a few weeks ago, I took a day trip to Newport State Park.

It was a hot day at camp, but the wind was off the lake at Newport, bringing some welcome cool air (and fog) along the shore.

I was amazed by the plants growing through the small cracks in the rocky shoreline (above).
