One morning while camping last week, as I was enjoying my breakfast in the woods, I heard some rustling in the brush next to my campsite. I looked over to see a whitetail deer, also having breakfast.

I was surprised how close the deer was letting me get. Once in a while it would look up at the sound of my camera shutter, then go back to munching on the foliage.

Another morning, also while eating breakfast, I saw a mother and a fawn walking along the creek. They didn’t stick around and weren’t getting very close, but I was able to get a fairly decent shot of the fawn (though a bit out of focus).
