The other day I went to the Capitol with the intention of photographing the Christmas tree. I found myself wandering the building and marveling at the wonderful architecture (like the light and angles of this stairway).

Migrating loon
Spotted a common loon the other day (Lake Monona is a migration rest stop for them). First time capturing one of those wearing their winter coat! Their plumage is more drab grey/brown this time of year for better camouflage along the coast and waters of the south.
