Overcast beauty
Stromy skies over Tomahawk Lake
Some storm clouds moved in over what was a pretty nice sunset on my first evening of camping in Northern Wisconsin. Sure enough, after midnight heavy rain pounded my tent for several hours.
It takes two wheels
Of all the Bucky on Parade statues I’ve seen around town, “It Takes Two Wheels” by Brooke Wentland is my favorite. I love the imagery from the area’s recreational trails.
Flood waters sticking around
As the massive amount of rain that fell in western Dane County last week makes it’s way through the Madison lakes, the flooding will be here a while. Unfortunately for the people that live near the river and lakes, there’s more rain in the forecast.
Above is Tenney Park from last night.
Yahara River flooding
I biked the Yahara River trail to check out the flooding tonight. The bicyclist above is riding down the middle of Johnson Street in front of the Tenney Park Lagoon.
Garver Feed Mill
Renovations to Madison’s historic Garver Feed Mill are moving along. Aren’t old buildings wonderful? I took this through the construction fence. Wish I could shoot some pics from the inside.
