I went down to the Capitol yesterday, looking for a little Christmas spirit.

These reeds being reflected on a calm Yahara River look like some kind of ancient writing to me. I wonder what the message is?

This cattail is well insulated, and seems to be ready for cold weather. With the above normal temperatures lately, I wonder if we’ll get any.

I caught this scene in Vilas Park. Proof that the sun actually did shine for a few brief moments today.

Madison got the first measurable snow of the season last night (about 5 inches in my neighborhood). Welcome to winter.

Despite the strong winds and storms the past few days, a few leaves are still hanging on.
