Coneflower with purple petals and an orange spiky center. A very small grasshoppers sits on one of the petals.

Streaks of orange, blue, and and a little grey, running mostly horizontally across the image.

Pink lotus flower with a yellow center. A small bee and many water drops are on the flower.

These lotus flowers seem to approve of all the rain we’ve been getting lately.

Biking a new trail

July 1, 2024Bicycling, LandscapeJonathan

A straight section of a boardwalk trail extends into the distance under a blue sky. A few trees and a marsh can be seen on either side of the boardwalk.

It’s not “officially” open, but the county removed the construction barricades from the second phase of the Lower Yahara River trail, and I rode it yesterday for the first time.
