On this Earth Day (before I got down to some yardwork), I went to Olbrich Botanical Gardens looking for some flowers. The deep color of this “Lady in Red” lady fern, made it my favorite of the day.

After a cloudy and dreary weekend, the clouds broke up just in time to allow for a little color tonight. Starkweather Creek in Madison.

Seeing this sun pillar at Tenney Park was a nice treat.
Tame sandhill cranes
Two sandhill cranes showed up at my library’s bird feeder today. I had never seen these birds let humans get so close to them! The college student above was about 10 feet way.
