On this Earth Day (before I got down to some yardwork), I went to Olbrich Botanical Gardens looking for some flowers. The deep color of this “Lady in Red” lady fern, made it my favorite of the day.

Two sandhill cranes showed up at my library’s bird feeder today. I had never seen these birds let humans get so close to them! The college student above was about 10 feet way.
