Every year I’m amazed that such thin stalks (with heavy corncobs) can get so tall. These were at least ten feet high.
First leaves down
The ash tree in front of my house is always the first one on the block to start shedding its leaves. Welcome to autumn.

The morning after Madison’s first inch or so of significant snow, a few colorful leaves can still be found.
