Flaky
A little color
The other day I visited the conservatory at Olbrich Gardens, to soak up some humidity and see a little color during this bleak period of winter. I did take some pictures of the flowers, but what really caught my eye was this tiny, young leaf basking in the sun.
It was so good to see new life growing, even though there were bitter cold temperatures just a few yards away.

Sunflower bee
Just as I was composing a shot of this young sunflower, a bee flew in to see if there was any pollen. A lucky break for me. Hope the bee got something good too.
Magnolia season
After weeks of rain and cooler than normal temperatures, there seems to be a sudden explosion of flowers everywhere.
