Steamy sunset hike
After laying low in the house all day yesterday (avoiding the hot and humid weather), I was itching to do something outside by the time the sun started to go down. So I headed out for a hike.
You call that a mountain?
Funny how something can be called a “mountain” when it really isn’t. Trempealeau Mountain in Wisconsin’s Perrot State Park.

This is my favorite spot on the Great River State Trail. The trail (which is built on a former railroad bed) runs right next to Perrot State Park, where I was camping last week.

On Memorial Day I went hiking at Gibraltar Rock, a state natural area connected to Wisconsin’s Ice Age Trail. It was my first time there — the views are amazing.
