While I was along the shore capturing tonight’s sunset, the lake under the ice was making these deep, resonating sounds every so often: “bloooooop… galoooooop.”

Flying into sunset

I intended to shoot the sunset this evening, but the cloud deck moving in had other plans. The moon in the east was a pretty good consolation prize.
