First snow

Well, it’s not sticking to the ground (much), and it is making my evergreen look pretty. I’ll take it.

Winter is not done with us yet! At least the snow was pretty to look at.

A strong (and cold!) wind brings the broken up ice on Lake Mendota to the shore.

Like an infinite number of teeny-tiny jewels. Only certain types of snow sparkle this way, did you ever notice?

This section of heaving ice on Lake Monona was about four feet tall! Another wonder of nature’s beauty.
