The crocuses that pop-up in the spring are so tiny and delicate. It’s almost as if spring is tentatively peeking its head above ground and saying “Is it safe? Is winter finally gone?”

The bleeding hearts in my yard carry a lot of symbolism for me this year, for a few reasons. They’ve lasted longer than expected this spring, which is fittingly symbolic as well. Hoping for brighter days ahead as these blossoms fade for the season.
