Porcupine Mountain State Park has a series of waterfalls, created by the Presque Isle River, as it makes its way to Lake Superior.
Hiking trails run alongside the falls (and even over a bridge in one spot).
Walking through the woods, watching the waterfalls and hearing the constant sound of water crashing on the rocks, can be quite serene.
Once in a while, I was lucky enough to see rainbows in the fall’s mist.
