I usually take pictures of the flora and fauna when I visit the UW Arboretum. But this metal piece of art, in front of the Curtis Prairie, caught my eye.

Bleeding hearts
The bleeding hearts in my yard carry a lot of symbolism for me this year, for a few reasons. They’ve lasted longer than expected this spring, which is fittingly symbolic as well. Hoping for brighter days ahead as these blossoms fade for the season.

Seeing a horned grebe is a first for me. They only pass through Wisconsin during migration. I love its earthy color scheme.
