Pedaling for the scenery

A wooden trestle leads though a scenic area of pine trees.

From another day of biking in the north woods — The Bearskin State Trail.

A crushed granite trail curves through a dense pine forest.

Riding on this former railroad bed, you spend a lot of time pedaling thru dense forest (like the above photo), which can be a bit monotonous on a long ride.

A scenic view of a creek beside a forest and a recreational trail.

But the payoff comes when you hit the trestles on the trail (over a dozen), which have spectacular scenic views.
