Birchbark canoe

June 22, 2024Art & CultureJonathan

Three-quarter view of an ornate birchbark canoe sitting on the grass. The silhouette of a beaver and a vine of pink flowers are painted on its side.

This beautiful birchbark canoe was made by artist Gene Delcourt and students at MG21 Liberal Arts Charter School. Seen on display at the Harry Whitehorse International Wood Sculpture Festival.

Two young girls look at an ornate birchnbark canoe. Painted on the canoe's side are a bear silhouette, a vine of pink flowers, and some hand prints.
