Wingra ice

January 16, 2025Lakes, Snow & IceJonathan

Looking down at the ice of a frozen lake. Large bubbles can be seen in the depth of the ice as well as many smaller ones. A band of light snow crosses the top of the photo.

Went for a walk on the Lake Wingra ice today.

Looking down at the ice of a frozen lake. Cracks form an X across the entire photo. There are small bubbles in the ice, and dusting of snow in a few spots.

Wide angle view of the ice on a frozen lake. Lined patterns of light snow have formed on the ice from the wind, and a line of trees can be seen on the distant shore.
