Miners Castle

Tall rocky outcropping, which looks like a castle's turret, on the end of a short peninsula filled with tall trees. The peninsula juts out into very clear blue-green lake water.

At the bottom of of this outcropping is a small sample of the colored sandstone that gives Pictured Rocks its name. That type of formation is much larger and more prominent on the eastern side of the park.

Beige and reddish brown layers of sandstone on the bottom edge of the short peninsula, next to a shallow pool of greenish-blue water
