I don’t think of late October as being a good time for flowers.
But when I visited Olbrich Gardens this afternoon, I saw some gorgeous autumn blossoms, like these zinnias.

8 miles high?
Actually, this is a photo taken from a small bridge over a pond. I suppose there’s still a lot of life to behold, whether you’re eight miles above the Earth, or eight feet above a pond.
Garage painted
Over the weekend I finally painted the front of my garage. It’s still a piece of junk, but at least it matches the house (from the street).
That’s another finished item off the home improvement list, another dozen or so to go.
