Late autumn reflections

Madison’s Starkweather Creek.

Those autumn colors fade so quickly.

This year was the first time I noticed how coneflowers look in late autumn. Almost as if they’ve lost their skin and a skeleton is all that remains.

There’s something magical about being in the middle of a forest that’s been transformed by hues of a golden yellow.
