Birthday in the country
Last weekend, my father (Wil Bloy) and I went out for dinner in Roxbury (Dorf Haus, best fish fry in Dane County). At the back of the restaurant’s garden sits an antique farm rake across from a beautiful willow tree. Because it was Dad’s birthday, we decided to take a few pictures.

Tractor graveyard
While biking the Capital City State Trail the other day, I saw something along side that I hadn’t noticed before, a small junk yard, mostly filled with old tractors.
On top of Blue Mound
Today at Blue Mound State Park, I discovered if the clouds are just right, you can really see how the town (and park) were named.
The colors in the view from the east observation tower reminded me of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I spent some time inside Olbrich Gardens today for their annual Blooming Butterflies exhibit.
The wonderful spots on this common buckeye butterfly made it my favorite of the day.

There was just enough space in this part of the canopy to backlight these maple trees. All around this spot, nothing but shadow.
