The Huffington Post has obtained an internal memo from Fox News, which was written the day after the election. From the memo:
The elections and Rumsfeld’s resignation were a major event, but not the end of the world. The war on terror goes on without interruption… And let’s be on the lookout for any statements from the Iraqi insurgents, who must be thrilled at the prospect of a Dem-controlled congress.
I guess the powers that be at Fox News were absent the day they talked about objectivity in journalism school. Be sure and bring this up the next time anyone complains about the liberal bias in the media.
“Fair and Balanced” indeed.
Journalism school you say?
Roger Ailes hates journalists and journalism. They’d like to get rid of that whole Whitehouse pressroom. Thats why they have Fox News. They have a message “propaganda” and they don’t want it questioned.
Of course the sad thing is that apparently they believe their own propaganda. “terrorists…who must be thrilled at the prospect of a Dem-controlled congress.”
I thought it was just a line they were feeding to the American public to scare us into voting Republican.
Oh right, I was confusing Fox News with journalism. I think the propaganda schools dropped their objectivity requirement years ago.
At least someone there had the morals to leak the memo.
