There’s been a great horned owl’s nest with an owlet in a nearby park, in a pretty visible spot. I’ve visited a few times so far, and these are the best shots I’ve taken.
No sign of Mom or Dad around, but I’ve been told they usually leave the owlet alone during the day, and come back to the nest to feed it after dark.
The expression on its face in this last one is priceless.

Thanks for the comment. It was first time seeing an owlet for me, and the first time I was able to photograph an owl of any kind. I feel grateful about both of those things.
