Obligatory photo of tulips at the Capitol
I almost missed the tulips at the Capitol this year. While out biking today, I rode around the square, and noticed many of the tulips were past peak. There was one nice bed of red and yellow blossoms though. I figured, better take a shot now or wait until next year.

I don’t have an answer, but if these guys figured anything out, I certainly hope they let the rest of us know.

After weeks of rain and cooler than normal temperatures, there seems to be a sudden explosion of flowers everywhere.

Two days of sunshine
You know you’re anxious for spring, when you celebrate two days in a row of sunshine and (mostly) blue sky. It won’t be long until those bare branches are filled with leaves.

At last, a concrete sign of spring! Although when I see these tiny, first blossoms of the year, it seems to me that Mother Nature is tentatively testing the change of season. As if she’s saying, “Let’s see how these small flowers do before I commit to anything bigger.”
Keeping on the dreary side
Rain. More rain. Fog late this afternoon. Chance of rain or snow tonight. Chance of more rain tomorrow. The dreary weather in Madison lately is getting tiresome.
Need some green
I took a walk in the woods today. With everything still so bare and brown, it could very well be November instead of April. We need some green.
