Oh Spring, Spring! Wherefore art thou Spring?
This is not the kind of evening commute I expect in southern Wisconsin on April 18.
Snowy bleeding heart
Today I noticed the bleeding heart plant in front of my house has emerged and is about 8 inches tall. I noticed this WHILE I WAS SHOVELING SNOW.

On a cold and dreary spring day, I went out looking for some color. I did find some… indoors (in the conservatory at Olbrich Botanical Gardens).

The structure of oak trees makes them just as beautiful bare, as they are with leaves.
