This is how I spent my lunch break today. Walking along the boardwalk behind Edgewood College.
Eager for autumn
I’ve come to realize that the ash tree in front of my house is always very eager for the fall season, and it expresses its enthusiasm by being the first tree on the block to turn colors in the autumn.

Ironman bikers
I went bicycling along Lake Monona yesterday. The Ironman Wisconsin race was going on at the time, and I took a break from my ride to photograph and cheer on the racers (who were riding along side the recreational trail).
Threshers
The Farmall H
Dad and I went to the Rock River Thresheree yesterday, to look at the antique farm equipment. The Farmall H is the tractor my grandfather (Theodore Bloy) bought around 1950 to use on the farm where my father grew up. Dad (Wilmer Bloy) stands beside an H from that era below.
The Presque Isle River
The Presque Isle River has two channels that flow into Lake Superior. The spot where the calmer one joins the big lake is a beautiful scene, especially late in the day when the sun is going down.

The falls of Porcupine Mountain
Porcupine Mountain State Park has a series of waterfalls, created by the Presque Isle River, as it makes its way to Lake Superior.
