I visited one of my favorite trees the other day. This majestic white willow at Cherokee Marsh has to be at least 150 years old. Older living things have much wisdom. Are we smart enough to “listen” to what they’re telling us?

I’m almost sorry I didn’t try taking video of this field. The way the stalks were swaying in the wind was spellbinding.

Solstice dancer
On Sunday evening I was part of the drum circle at the Olbrich Park solstice celebration. It was amazing. I took a short photo break from drumming just after the bonfire was lit and people started dancing. After the fire died down to a safe level, the crowd was invited to put their written wishes for the coming year into the fire.
Happy solstice! May all your solstice wishes come true.
Tree swallows
I enjoyed watching these tree swallows, especially while they were flying around hunting insects in the air. Unfortunately, the second photo is the closest I came to having a decent action shot. More practice is needed, I suppose.
