Great egrets
Horned Grebe
Seeing a horned grebe is a first for me. They only pass through Wisconsin during migration. I love its earthy color scheme.

Wintering eagles
When the cold weather hits, it’s time to go bald eagle watching along the Wisconsin River. Since area lakes are frozen, the eagles congregate here for the winter, where they can catch fish.
