Another Saturday, another protest rally. This time we marched along with Veterans for Peace in opposition of Governor Walker’s budget proposals.

Snow dunes
The wind from last night’s blizzard made some great patterns in the snow.
They looked like sand dunes.
Beauty in the gray
I like to call this time of the year the season of darkness. The hours of daylight are getting shorter and shorter. Everything is gray and brown, and there isn’t any snow on the ground to brighten things up. It’s all a bit depressing. But maybe I need to look at it in a different way. Take away the color, even from a gorgeous sunset, and there is beauty to be seen in the gray.
I should play around with black and white photography more.
The Casket Arts Building
My sister Barbra’s studio is in the Casket Arts Building, a 120 year-old structure that once housed the Northwestern Casket Company.
I could have spent hours walking around the old building and taking photos,
November hike
It was a great day for a hike yesterday, so I did a little exploring and headed to New Glarus Woods State Park.
